New Best Friends

So our little girl has made some new friends.  Her new friends comfort her while she is feeling lonely, and soother her to sleep.  However, sometimes her new friends inexplicably abandon her, especially when she needs them most.  She doesn't understand their behavior or disappearance, just that she wants to be with her friends, but they are not longer there.

Who are her new friends?  Her fingers, and especially her thumb.

At around week 7, she has begun to discover that her thumb and fingers can be her best friends.  She actually prefers her fingers over the pacifier, to the point where she will spit out her pacifier, and immediately put her fingers in her mouth, without becoming upset!

This has made our life alot easier, as you can imagine.  No more need to carry around pacifiers, or try to put them in her mouth, only to be immediately rejected by her tongue.

The only side effect is that now her hands become extremely dry, as a result of all the saliva.  And Cheese.

She is now 12 weeks old.  It has been a while since I have written, and she is now best friends with her thumbs.  She only gets upset when she can not find her thumb, which is often because it is hiding in her sleeve.

More to come, and more reviews of baby products.  Maybe even some toys, if she starts playing with them!
